No significant connection between this and the characters of the main game. Very colorful and beloved by many, but not my favorite. Also comes with a very large selection of weapons and outfits, more unique than any of the others found in the other DLCs. Takes you to the big and explorable Big MT. Very whacky in tone and sciene-fiction inspired. The main character is incredibly important to them and the background of the NCR-Legion war. Also has a story connection to the main game and the Legion. Zion Canyon is pretty pig and you can visit whenever you like even after completing the DLC. Also comes with new weapons, armor, companions and its own questline. Main antagonist is pretty important to the Fallout lore as well, so there is a min story connection to the Brotherhood of Steel and Veronica.
Succeeds at most of what attempts, but does fell a bit short compared to the others.
Comes with a new questline, companions exclusive to the DLC, new weapons and outfits, etc. It's not that hard unless you're in Hardcore mode, the Sierra Madre villa is pretty big and has a lot to see and do, but my biggest gripe is you can only visit it once per playthrough. Comes with some interesting challanges that give you extra XP when completed as well.ĭead Money - An attempt at making the game a little Survival Horror-esque and it succeeds somewhat. Gun Runner's Arsenal - Comes with A LOT of unique weapons and unique weapon mods that can only be used with GRA verisons of the weapons in the base game. Mostly just consumables and some unique weapons that can be useful for the early game. In which case, it can be very helpful early on. I can tell you first hand what I think of all 6 DLCs.Ĭourier's Stache - Mostly useless unless you're looking to play on higher difficutlies and on Hardcore Mode without knowing the game that well. I have over 1000 hours on the Ultimate Edition of this game on Xbox (I have no life). Still, there is a sale going on as of this writing and I think they are all worth getting, Courier's stash can probably be skipped unless you want to download the JSawyer mod. Couriers stash is probably the weakest DLC of the bunch as it just gives you all the items from the pre-order bonuses at the beginning of the game. Gun Runners arsenal adds all new extemely expensive and powerful weapons for the late game as something to use your caps on. THe other 2 DLCs, Gun Runners Arsenal and Courier's Stash add new items and no new story or quests. At the very least, they increase the level cap. As far as items go, you can find something for your character in each one, no matter the build. They live up to Obsidian's standard for storylines and each one has great writing. The 4 main DLCs (Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, and Lonesome Road) all have a storyline that links together and builds for the confrontation at the end of Lonesome Road. As far as DLC goes, it's of very high quality.
